InfiniteClouds Cloud/On-Premise Controller Release Notes

Deployment Locations

Features & Improvements

  • Version Display: UI deployment versions are now visible on the About page, improving transparency and tracking of system versions aligned with CI/CD practices.

    Documentation: About Page
  • Manual AP Location Update: Users can manually update the geographic location of access points (APs), enabling more precise control and network management.

    Documentation: Manual AP Location
  • User Status Display: The user grid now displays online/offline statuses for all users, providing real-time visibility of user connectivity.

    Documentation: User
  • Last Logged-In Time: The user grid shows the last log-in time for each user, providing better insight into user activity and access patterns.

    Documentation: User
  • Cluster Markers: The map interface has been enhanced to now display cluster markers for multiple Access Points (APs) that are located in close proximity. Instead of overlapping individual markers, the system intelligently groups nearby APs into a single cluster marker, improving map clarity and usability.

    Documentation: Dashboard
  • Bulk Deletion: Users can now delete multiple records from any grid at once, streamlining administrative tasks and performing cleanup operations.

  • Deep Organization Deletion: The system now supports a streamlined, secure process for deleting entities along with their associated data in a single action. This improvement simplifies data management tasks by reducing the steps required to remove entities while maintaining data security. The feature ensures that both entities and their associated records are securely erased from the system, reducing potential errors and improving overall efficiency.

    Documentation: Organization
  • Organization Column in Captive Clients: Added a new Organization column to the Wi-Fi Captive Clients table, which improves tracking and organizational visibility.

    Documentation: Wifi Captive Clients
  • Restricted Access for Admins: Organization administrators are now restricted from accessing the system through a terminal or web UI, strengthening security protocols and preventing unauthorized access.

  • Country Code Autofill: The country code picker on the hotspot configuration page will now auto-relate based on the user's detected location, improving user experience and accuracy.

Bugs Fixed

  • Assigned At Display Issue: Fixed an issue where the Assigned At field was displayed incorrectly on some devices, ensuring consistent and accurate information.

  • Port Forwarding: Fixed an issue that prevented port forwarding from working properly in AP configuration, ensuring smooth connectivity.

  • Error Messaging: Error messages for AP assignment failures are now clearly displayed, providing users with more accurate troubleshooting information.

  • MAC Address Validation: Addressed a bug that allowed organizations to assign invalid MAC addresses, ensuring valid network configurations.

On-Premise Updates

  • SSL Certificate Updates: Users can now manage SSL certificates directly from the Settings tab, simplifying security certificate updates and management.

  • Default SSL Certificate Bundling: Default SSL certificates are now included in on-premise Debian packages, simplifying the setup process and increasing security by default.

  • Application Reset Feature: A Reset Application button has been added to the on-premise controller, enabling users to reset the system without the need for manual intervention, improving ease of system maintenance.
